A Wellness Water Designed for Yogis

Tezahn was inspired by the practice of Ayurveda and yoga, so attendingThe Yoga Expo and connecting to the yoga community in California this year was incredibly special to us. This was not only our first event of the year; It was actually our first event ever! As we know, COVID had a way of altering all of our best laid plans. After planning to launch at SXSW in 2020, we had to wait until this year to finally get out into the community in order to have others taste, smell and experience the convenience of our herbal cold infusions for themselves.

Experiencing Tezahn herbal infusions

“Refreshing,” “cooling,” “grounding,” and “delicious!”

These are just some of the adjectives attendees used to describe Tezahn, and we couldn’t agree more! Each flavor of Tezahn was created to appeal to the different doshas (vata, kapha and pitta) in Ayurveda and provide a different sensation when drinking the infusion.

Tulsi & Spices: robust, floral, clove-like

Mint & Turmeric: cooling, peppery, earthy

Ginger & Jaggery: warm, zingy, slightly sweet

We loved the overall feedback from our fellow yogis and hope that this will encourage you to try our herbal infusions and add them to your yoga practice. 

Drinking Tezahn out of copper bottles

 Many attendees noticed that we served our Tezahn samples out of copper bottles, and we did this for a few reasons. The original inspiration behind Tezahn was our founder, Sirisha's grandmother, who would place fresh herbs and spices from her garden into a copper pot with water and drink it throughout the day. According toAyurveda, water stored in acopper vesselhas the ability to balance all the three doshas in your body, (vata, kapha and pitta) and it does so by positively charging the water. Storing water in a copper vessel works as a purification process. It can kill all the microorganisms like molds, fungi, algae and bacteria, present in the water that could be harmful for the body. It also helps maintain the body's pH (acid-alkaline) balance.

Where will Tezahn be next?

Tezahn will finally get its chance to be featured at the SXSW Wellness Expo in March. From March 12-13th, we look forward to showcasing our divine drink with a new wellness audience in a new state.
